About Us

Dar Liouba is a dazzling white guest house situated in the Medina of Essaouira in a quiet area, just 10 minutes to the beach and all other tourist attractions.

A pergola rises three floors from the interior courtyard of this former Imam's house, culminating in an octagonal skylight. The interior is a combination of traditional Moroccan forms and clean, modern spaces.

Accommodation

We have 6 comfortable rooms and a suite (apartment) distributed on three levels. With a kinédorsal-bed and Arab-Andalous architecture, these rooms are bright and sunny, cosy and romantic. This intriguing structure provides each bedroom with a charming cedarwood balcony, hand carved by local craftsmen, overflowing with flowers, from which you look down into a small internal garden that is a feature of these town houses.

Lavande Suite
Sunny, airy private apartment on the third floor, overlooking the indoor flowered patio, decorated in shades of pink, light grey, and white. It consists of a large sitting area, with views over the old city, dining corner, bookshelf, satellite TV, DVD, dressing room, one comfortable double room, fireplace in the corner, a bathroom with a bathtub, and separate toilet.

Ocean and Ciel – The Blue rooms
Large, very sunny double rooms, on the first or second floor. Windows overlook the Medina. Decorated in blue, beige, and white, comfortable double bed, corner fireplace, armchairs, private bathroom with seated shower.

Olivier and Arganier – The Green rooms
Sunny, airy rooms, on the first and second floors. Arganier is a twin-room and Olivier is a triple room. Windows overlook a quiet little street. Decorated in shades of green, bronze, burgundy and white. Private bathroom with seated shower.

Piment and Pourpre – The Red rooms
Double rooms, quiet, cosy, and romantic, on the first and second floors. Window overlooking the indoor flowered patio. Decorated in shades of red, orange and white, wooden ceiling, comfortable double bed, and private bathroom with a shower.

Facilities

We have a flat roof terrace, with a 360° panoramic view of the city and ocean - the medina, the new town, the ocean from North to South, the hills on the road to Marrakech and Mogador island. You can also do a bit of sunbathing here.

Our breakfasts are copious and vary each day. We serve it in our living room, or on our flat roof terrace  from 8:15 to 11:00.
Meals can be arranged, dinner must be ordered in the morning, and lunch the day before - 15€ per meal.Try our gourmet cuisine - continental french or Moroccan style.

Location

There are various ways to reach Dar Liouba:

When you arrive in Essaouira, the best is to park your car at the big open parking at Bab Marrakech gate near the southern entrance of the old city (Medina) which is near the bus station.You can ask for it, every one knows this gate. After that, you can call us to go and accompany you until Dar Liouba.

Or, you can hire a carrier and ask him to Dar Liouba, he will also accompany you and carry your luggage.

If you decide to reach Dar Liouba by yourself, enter the Bab Marrakech gate near the southern entrance of the old city (medina) which is near the bus station and a big open parking. Go up the street El Qouri ,turn at the third street on your right: Ibn Khaldoun ,and after turn the first street on your right (a little mosque at the corner):it is the street Moulay Ismai - 15 meters farther you see a sign with a blue shoe (shop of raffia). You are near. Turn at the second lane on your right. You can see our white house with lanterns – Dar Liouba. Welcome!

MAKING A RESERVATION

What am I getting? - Your reservation at the Dar Liouba includes bed & breakfast and all taxes. Please note that your reservation does not include transfers from the airport to the hotel.

What happens next? - After clicking "Book Now" you will be directed to a secured page requesting your details. After completing your details click "Confirm Booking." Thereafter you will receive confirmation of your reservation at the email address you provided. Your resevation is now confirmed and no further action is required on your behalf. Once again we would like to remind you that all information provided on EasyAfrica is done securely.

Cancellation policy - Due to the high demand of accommodation in Morocco hoteliers need to be made aware if you are unable to fulfill your reservation. A late cancellation means that the hotelier may not sell the room to another guest. Therefore all hotels have cancellation policies.

Cancellations received 21-30 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 11-20 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 0-10 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.

Payment Policy - When making a reservation on EasyAfrica a non refundable deposit of 20% is paid immediately to confirm your reservation. The balance is payable to the hotel upon check in/check out.

Reservation Request
All reservations made on EasyAfrica are confirmed immediately online. If however you do not wish to confirm your reservation immediately, require further information before doing so or cannot find availability please send your requests to info@easyafrica.co.uk
